Donation Information

Breds is committed to the upliftment and improvement of Treasure Beach.  We are always looking for help with our projects.  Our current plans include:

  • The Treasure Beach Auditorium Fund has been recently established for the construction of a Multi-purpose facility at Sandy Bank Primary School. This facility will include a library, computer lab, and sick bay.
  • Promoting Environmental awareness, in accordance with Green Globe Certification, within Treasure Beach.
  • Sustainable Development Plan
  • Drug rehabilitation assistance and community outreach
  • Breds Scholarship Fund - Our first recipient is a teacher from Sandy Bank Primary School who is pursuing a MBA degree.
  • Promote and sustain the Treasure Beach Emergency Response Unit
  • Acquire and distribute computers to community schools and organizations

Breds is administered by volunteers and is funded through direct contributions and the following fundraising projects:

  • Dollar-A-Night initiative where participating guesthouses contribute US$1 for each room night rented
  • Dollar-A-Trip where taxi operators and boat tour operators contribute US$1 per trip
  • Jake's Off-Road Triathlon (Annual in May)
  • Jake's Six-a-Side Football Tournament (Annual Oct - Dec)
  • Treasure Beach Hook 'N' Line Fishing Tournament (Annual - October)
  • Postcards & T-shirt sales

In November 1998, Breds was recognized by the British Guild of Travel Writers by being awarded runner-up for the Merit Award, which recognizes us as one of the top community development organizations in the world.

The Treasure Beach Foundation was recently registered in the United States, making donations from USA tax deductible. For information about our upcoming projects, or donations, please contact:
