Breds is committed to the upliftment and improvement
of Treasure Beach. We are always looking for help with our projects.
Our current plans include:

The Treasure Beach Auditorium
Fund has been recently established for the construction of a Multi-purpose
facility at Sandy Bank Primary School. This facility will include
a library, computer lab, and sick bay.

Promoting Environmental awareness, in accordance
with Green Globe Certification, within Treasure Beach.

Sustainable Development Plan

Drug rehabilitation assistance and community
outreach

Breds Scholarship Fund - Our first recipient
is a teacher from Sandy Bank Primary School who is pursuing a MBA degree.

Promote and sustain the Treasure Beach Emergency
Response Unit

Acquire and distribute computers to community
schools and organizations
Breds is administered by volunteers and is funded
through direct contributions and the following fundraising projects:

Dollar-A-Night initiative where participating
guesthouses contribute US$1 for each room night rented

Dollar-A-Trip where taxi operators and boat
tour operators contribute US$1 per trip

Jake's Off-Road Triathlon (Annual in May)

Jake's Six-a-Side Football Tournament (Annual
Oct - Dec)

Treasure Beach Hook 'N' Line Fishing Tournament

Postcards & T-shirt sales
In November 1998, Breds was recognized by the British
Guild of Travel Writers by being awarded runner-up for the Merit Award, which
recognizes us as one of the top community development organizations in the world.
The Treasure Beach Foundation was recently registered
in the United States, making donations from USA tax deductible. For information
