Breds
has always supported information technology in the schools. In
1998, Breds received six donated computers and started a lab at the
Sandy Bank Primary School with the help of a Peace Corps Volunteer.
Through training and volunteer work, the lab continues to function and
grow. Breds is now reaching out to other schools in the area by
soliciting more computer donations.
Breds has started a project to donate to Sandy Bank Primary,
Sandy Bank Basic, Pedro Plains, Geneva Primary, and Big Woods Primary. |

Even with computers, the area is also in dire need
of teachers. Most instruction is currently done by volunteers, but eventually
Breds would like to see paid teachers working with a cluster of schools.
Breds does not only donate to schools. We are
currently working to get computers for the Southfield Health Clinic, the Treasure
Beach Women's Group and the Treasure Beach Emergency Response Unit. All
these groups will benefit from the technology.
The Treasure Beach community and the surrounding
areas thank you for your interest in our computer programs.
